The Average Attic conversion takes anywhere from 4-10weeks. The average extension will take anywhere between 6-12 weeks. This timeline may be affected by other factors that are specific to your job. E.g Tiles in place of wood flooring will add an additional couple of days.
This is no problem at all, just mention your wants to one of our team members, and we will try our best to accommodate you within your working budget. A change-order may need to be drawn up for larger changes.
The majority of our clients choose not to stay somewhere else temporarily, although that is an option. For larger jobs, with a lot of structural changes we may recommend that you stay with family or friends temporarily. It may also be the case that there are large cavities in walls, which can make a house very cold in wintertime. Generally, we discuss all of the options with our clients and make a decision that works best for everybody.
Yes, thankfully we have a brilliant set of architects and interior designers, who will not only handle the planning permission side of things, they will also walk with you through the design and planning stages, to ensure the final product is exactly what you were dreaming of!
Stage 1 – Design and planning stage. [3-4 weeks]
Once we have confirmed we will be working together, and deposits are in, this is where we will work with you through what your dream final project looks like. At this stage, we will also go through the planning permission applications and get architect/engineer assistance where required.
Stage 2 – Starting works
Once everybody is happy with the plans, we will book in a date, collect deposits and we are ready to go! Our lads will begin the project. This may include foundational work (for extensions), or demolition work (for remodels and Attic conversions)
Stage 3 – The working stage [4-16 weeks]
This will be the stage in which the lads are on-site everyday and chipping away at the work that needs to be done in the house. At this stage, feel free to communicate any changes/issues you have with your project manager. They will be sure to communicate with you throughout this stage regardless, making sure everybody is happy and we are on track.
Stage 4 – The Snagging stage
This is where the vast majority of works have been completed, and your dream home is finally starting to take shape. At this point you will communicate any minor issues or finishing touches that you would like done, and our staggers will take care of these things.
Stage 5 – Completion
Once all of these have been completed, the project is done! We will ensure everything is up to standard, return any extra keys we had borrowed and leave you with a gorgeous new home, the lives up to all the expectations you had set!
